I often talk to women who are all bent out of shape because their efforts to sell online aren’t working. But when we look at the numbers it’s clear why, they simply aren’t reaching enough people, and that’s normal at first.
“Failure” is normal at first. That’s why the businesses in Silicone Valley say “fail fast and fail often” because they know each failure is simply another step towards their success.
That said there are some things you can do to make your chances of failing smaller, and to progress more quickly and smoothly.

Do you actually know how many people you’d have to reach in order to sell one spot on a high and coaching program in your industry?
How many people would you need on your email list to make one sale? How many people would you need to talk to on Zoom?
Do you know how much your business expenses are, how much your income is and what your monthly profits are?
If you don’t know that number, you’re not alone, many in business don’t. However, that changes for you today because you DO need to know your numbers! Otherwise, you risk getting confused and disheartened about your progress. You risk giving up too soon, on the cusp of success.
We women especially have a tendency to approach business from an emotional standpoint, and while I’m all up for following our feelings and intuition, when it comes to the numbers in our businesses, this is a masculine energy piece and not the place for emotions.
Today I will encourage you to approach the numbers in your business with a clear head and analytical mind. With curiosity…
Because when we know our numbers in our businesses we can make wise and empowered choices. We can really grow a viable business and we don’t get thrown off track so easily.
Oh, and in case numbers freak you out, let me share something personal with you. I consider myself dyslexic with numbers (it’s called dyscalculia apparently). At school I HATED math at school. Every time the teacher talked about it I’d get clammy hands, a knot in my tummy and my brain would stop working. Later, working in bars and pubs, I had to rely on the till to add up… However in my business I’ve managed to overcome my fear of numbers because I know how important it is (and it’s easy really). If I can do it, you can too.
