Do you have “comparativitis” (the issue of comparing yourself to others and beating yourself up?)

This is a word I use to talk about when we do that thing of going online, and we look at what other people are doing in their business – typically people further ahead than ourselves, and we compare ourselves to them, and ultimately beat ourselves up!

We can easily feel jealous by seeing what glamourous lifestyles they’re portraying, or the amount of clients they have and this can spark feelings of jealousy.  I know this because I’ve done this to myself too!

Here’s the flip-side – I’ve had people say to me that they’re jealous of my biz and they wish they were at the level I’m at… and I think to myself, they might speak differently if they knew the YEARS of work that’s gone into this and the countless HOURS to get me to where I am right now in my business!

Remember we never see the “blood, sweat and tears” of behind-the-scenes in business.

Part of being a new-style creative leader is showing up in vulnerability and rawness. It’s also important to learn not to compare ‘our insides’ with ‘other peoples’ outsides’. It’s easy to sit in the space of procrastination when we experience “comparitivitis” and then nothing gets done.

Another block which can keep us stuck is overwhelm. Overwhelm is a state of mind. Read that again!

You have a choice to show up overwhelmed and stay spinning, then nothing gets done, or decide to CLAIM YOUR CLARITY today. It’s a decision.

With Love
